Nana taught me to sew and I’ve done it all my life, but I only began quilting last fall, when I made four quilts in a row. I soon discovered Elizabeth DeGroos and learned about Pojagi, a patchwork technique she studied while living in Korea. She has adapted the technique to one-layer patchwork and I fell in love with it. In the dark of winter, I reveled in colour and light and I’m obsessed with the beautiful batik fabrics!
