Lessons, workshops, summer camps & residencies:

Donna Hébert’s classes, workshops and residencies demonstrate the innovative right and left-hand teaching methods documented in her Fiddling Demystified for Strings teaching series.

Donna is taking a sabbatical summer from running her own camp, which returns in 2013. In winter 2012 she will be teaching and performing at the John C. Campbell Folk School in NC, the Chattanooga Folk School, the Midwinter Celtic Festival in MD and the Blackstone River Theatre in RI. Next summer, the trio teaches and performs at the Goderich, Ontario’s Celtic College and Celtic Festival. Donna also directs the Great Groove Bands for young musicians at Old Songs and Philadelphia Folk Festivals. Calendar . . .

Donna offers online video chat lessons for long-distance learning. Students in November 2011 are from Brooklyn, Buffalo, Alaska, Canada and Melbourne, Australia. Most students re-enroll once the first ten lessons are completed. Some students are still studying online with Donna two years later.
